At The Television Critics Association press tour in Pasadena, this morning, it was announced that indeed, new episodes of Fox’s highest rated “new” show last year, The X-Files, is definitely in the works.
Fox President, David Madden, told reporters that the network is very close to ordering new episodes, but it’s a complex deal because of Gillian Anderson and David Duchovny’s schedules. The amount of the order, is yet to be determined as well. They would like to do more than the six episodes, like the revival had, but it won’t be a traditional 22 episode series.
Nothing is set in stone but an announcement should come shortly, according to Madden.
We need the series to come back, I need closure. We were left with a cliffhanger!
Where is Mulder and Scully’s kid???!!!
The X-Files is set to return sometime in 2018.
