Variety reports that Skarsgard will be joining the cast as a regular for season 2 and the others will be recurring characters. Skarsgard will play “Karl Strand, described as a white-collar guy comfortable in the field.” Which is a pretty vague description, but we can assume he’s a guest. Fares (Rogue One) will play “Antoine Costa, a tech expert.” And, Gabriel (Get Out) will appear as “Maling, who is trying to restore order on the ground.” None of those sound like hosts, but as we’ve learned… you don’t ever know.
HBO hasn’t confirmed which characters from season 1 will be returning for season 2. But, they’ve been open about casting stellar actors like Katja Herbers, Jonathan Tucker and Neil Jackson. Last year, one cast member stated that he’d be back, though that has not been officially confirmed.
