Star Wars Celebration Orlando officially starts tomorrow and there’s a lot to expect this year! While the biggest thing expected this year is The Last Jedi trailer, there are many other things to get excited about. We’ll be giving you a brief breakdown of the schedule, where to watch and some bonus fun you may be interested in.

Some of the big panels include tomorrow, April 13th at 11:00 AM – 12:30 PM EST is 40 Years of Star Wars. Hosted by Warwick Davis, there will be multiple actors included in the panel. Mark Hamill, Hayden Christensen, Billy Dee Williams, Lucasfilm President Kathleen Kennedy, and more. A tribute to the 40 years of Star Wars “highlighting the impact of the galaxy far, far away and the fandom that has propelled it for the last four decades. As is tradition, this marquee Celebration event will undoubtedly include many not-to-be-missed surprises.”

The biggest panel this years is Star Wars: The Last Jedi panel on Friday, April 14th at 11:00 AM – 12:30 PM EST. Currently on the bill is Kathleen Kennedy and director Rian Johnson. But as they said, “There will be plenty of surprises and special guests on the panel to keep the excitement brewing and speculation spinning throughout the rest of the weekend.” As with Star Wars Celebration Europe, the major panels will be streamed. And this is the panel you CANNOT miss! For any more panels you’re interested in, you can see the full list here.

During the stream, it will be hosted by The Star Wars Show who will be hosting their own fun events. They promise interviews with Star Wars stars, artists and more. They’re promising over 30 hours of streamed content so fans, like myself, can catch some of the action from home. For those who did not catch last year’s Celebration, they definitely deliver on the interviews. The late and great Carrie Fisher even sat down for an interview.

Speaking of Carrie, there will be an official tribute to Carrie hosted by Mark Hamill on April 14th at 5:30 – 6:30 PM EST. There will also be a memorial benefit hosted by podcast Tosche Station on April 13th in support of The Midnight Mission. That benefit is separate from the con itself so it will not be on the schedule.

BB-8 will be making his debut at Launch Bay at Walt Disney World this weekend. Fans who are in town for the convention can swing by to Disney World to meet the great droid himself. You can get a preview of it here. And as we’ve mentioned in Geek Girl Cantina, our weekly Star Wars news wrapup, Galactic Nights will also be hosted by Disney so fans are encouraged to head over after the con has closed for the evening on Friday.

There is so much to see at Star Wars Celebration so streaming will be a life saver! Fans can head over to StarWars.com for streaming. Their YouTube channel will be hosting their live streams and posting daily highlights that are sure to keep fans sated. You can also go to StarWarsCelebration.com if all else fails.
