There’s not much to say about this other than its awesome.
Yesterday, actor Tom Holland, who played the young Peter Parker in Captain America: Civil War, took a selfie of himself as Spider-Man — a spider-selfie, if you will — hanging high above the ground, hovering over a crash mat, on the set of Spider-Man: Homecoming. We can only imagine this was for a stunt where he falls and, much like Tom Cruise, Holland is insistent on doing his own stunts, or so we hear.
In the pic, you can also see Holland making the classic Spider-Man “thwip” gesture with his hands, which also shows off his super-high tech web-shooters.
It makes sense that Holland would take a picture of himself as Spider-Man; after all, he’s gotta make money somehow and the Daily Bugle is offering some heavy coin for Spider-Man pics.
And, by the way — when Tom Holland posted this pic yesterday, he mentioned that it’s exactly one year until Spider-Man: Homecoming hits theatres. That was no exaggeration — Spider-Man: Homecoming hits American theatres on July 7, 2018.
