T.J. Scott, Luciana Faulhaber, Dennys Ilic
Director, T.J. Scott and celebrity photographer, Dennys Ilic, have joined forces and launched their latest project, The Cinematic Pictures Group that includes production services, a music label and The Cinematic Pictures Gallery located at the famed Hollywood & Highland Complex in Hollywood, CA.
Geek Girl Authority was incredibly honored to be invited to the opening night gala, and we had a blast!
Before we get into that, here’s a little background of the masterminds behind CPG.
T.J. Scott is perhaps best know for his awarding winning career as a director, although he did get his start as a child actor in Canada, and was a stuntman before he transitioned into writing and directing. If you’re reading this, you’ve definitely seen his work. He’s directed such shows as Xena: Warrior Princess, Cleopatra, Spartacus, Orphan Black, Bitten, Mutant X, Longmire, The Strain, Gotham and Dark Matter. Yea, like I said, he’s pretty major and a stunning photographer, as well.
Dennys Ilic’s work, we all know. He’s one of the most sought after photographers and has captured some of our favorite actors in genre. If you’re a Battlestar Galactica fan and follow Katee Sackhoff and Tricia Helfer’s charity, Acting Outlaws, then you will recognize Ilic’s work as the photographer for their 2015 calendar. His illustrious career is so impressive, to read more about Dennys look, here.
Lucky for GGA, we got a firsthand look at the brand new gallery and got to talk to some our favorite actors, including Katrina Law (Arrow), Roger Cross (24, Eureka, Arrow, Continuum, Dark Matter), Michael Eklund (See No Evil 2, Wynona Earp, Dirk Gently), Lili Borden (Westward), Zachary Fall (Guilt), Philip Wilburn (Donald Trump Impersonator), Dino Antiniou (Gotham, Human Target), Aliyah O’Brien (Bates Motel, Rookie Blue, Insomnia), Aleks Pounovik (War For The Planet Of The Apes, Van Helsing), James Maslow (Big Time Rush, Dancing With The Stars), Michele Specht and Vic Mignogna (Star Trek Continues), AND TED RAIMI!
Okay, there were more interviews, lots more but you’ll see for yourself. Sorry if I shouted Ted Raimi’s name, but I have a deep love for him especially after this interview.
As you’ve seen in our feature 5 Questions, we asked the hard hitting questions:
- What is your favorite food?
- If you could live anywhere, fictional, otherworldly, past or present, where would that be?
- Who is you favorite superhero?
- What is your favorite horror movie or Halloween tradition?
Most common answers: Sushi, pasta, Hawaii.

Thank you to CPG, PPMG, Chris Morris, Ariana Jankovic, and Ted Raimi.
