Silliness Abound in STAR WARS: THE LAST JEDI Bloopers

Star Wars films can be rather serious. Sure there are moments of fun but dealing with things like death and war, things can be pretty dour. The same can be said for The Last Jedi as it deals with those same heavy things plus the fallout of a big event from The Force Awakens. That being said, bloopers are some of the most fun things you can see from the filming process and they surely deliver for this film.

Shared on their official YouTube, we have a section of the blooper reel that relishes in silly faces, funny moments and just smiles. We have the infamous slapping scene where actress Carrie Fisher ended up smacking Oscar Isaac about 40 times. I can’t imagine how his cheek felt. But one of my favorite moments is a bit of a set joke. John Boyega and Kelly Marie Tran are filming a scene and BB-8 is in a closet. And a smaller BB-8 is with him. Kelly Marie Tran’s joy echoes my own at seeing that. It’s so cute and such a fun thing to do.

Now I say it’s a section because there are more bloopers out there to watch but you’ll have to own it in order to see them. Watching bloopers always makes me want to be a part of the filming process – but I can’t act to save my life. While it gives the illusion that it’s all fun and jokes, they do take their work seriously. But these are their moments of fun and I think we’re all happy to enjoy it with them.
