Supergirl is in for a lot of fun in season 3. While enemies have been plenty, we also have some allies, too. Enter the interstellar heroine out of time! Saturn Girl is coming to the third season of the beloved CW show. According to Variety, Amy Jackson will be joining the cast in her US acting debut. And we’re all for more female characters!
For a start, who is Saturn Girl? Her name is Irma Ardeen who lives on Titan, Saturn’s largest moon. Hence the name. Her main abilities consist of telepathy and mind control. Not only that, she’s from the 30th century! The character has made multiple appearances and has been rebooted a few times. When we last saw her in the comics, she had just come to Earth and had been arrested for stealing a sandwich, not realizing food isn’t free.
Jackson will be making her US debut in this role. The actress started her career off as a model. She then rose to prominence in Bollywood before setting her eyes on the States. Jackson actually won’t be the first woman to don the mantle of Saturn Girl. In Smallville, the character made an appearance portrayed by Alexz Johnson. Jackson’s Saturn Girl will arrive on Earth just in time to help Kara out with a major enemy – possibly Reign? We’ll have to wait and see!
