In an interview with Access Hollywood, the interviewer caught up with Robbie Amell to ask him a few questions about his appearance as Ronnie Raymond, aka Firestorm, on CW’s hit show, The Flash. First off, in talking about how he looks, he says,

“I look ridiculous, when you see me next. Most people probably won’t even recognize me for at least a couple seconds when you first see my character return.” He goes on to talk about the wig he had to wear and how much he did not enjoy it. So, perhaps we can expect to see some flame effects or some sort of transformation in that way.

As for where his loyalties lie, he says, “You don’t know if I’m good or bad when I first show up. And you will find out that something going on mentally. I’m not exactly the same person I was when I left.”

That makes sense. Most people will think he’s insane since he’ll have another voice in his head in the form of Victor Garber, who plays Dr. Martin Stein.

“I’ve got Victor Garber in my head,” he says, “I have to do a Victor Garber impression for a bit of an episode.”

In case you’re wondering, this is Victor Garber.

You know, of Alias and Titanic fame. In the comics, Firestorm is actually TWO characters combined into the Firestorm Matrix, so while Ronnie Raymond is the face and image of the hero, Victor Garber is the brilliant scientist who’s consciousness is stuck in his head, constantly telling Ronnie what to do and how to do it. Together, they have the ability to transmute matter into any other form, but they have to know how to rearrange it at a molecular level, that’s where Dr. Martin Stein comes in.

Finally, Amell goes on to say he’ll also be co-starring in the same episode of The Flash as his cousin, Stephen Amell, who plays Oliver Queen on CW’s other hit DC show, Arrow. Does that mean we’ll get to see Firestorm earlier than expected, showing up in the Cross-over event coming up in a couple weeks?
