Last night on The Tonight Show With Jimmy Fallon, Michelle Obama made her final appearance as First Lady, and regular Americans got the opportunity to thank her and say their goodbyes.

The catch was, they thought they were just making a recorded message. In the middle of each goodbye, Mrs. Obama would surprise them, even running into an old Princeton classmate of hers.

I dare you not to tear up.

In my personal opinion, Mrs. Obama has been the epitome of grace and dignity. She’s been an incredible First Lady, funny, kind and compassionate and the work she’s done for children, military families and veterans is outstanding. I’ll miss her, her family and The President. I look forward to seeing where their path takes them and what they’ll be able to accomplish, outside of the Whitehouse.
