Marvel Rumored to have Found their Jessica Jones in Krysten Ritter

~Matt Key Casting rumors and confirmations for Marvel are flying! Out of deadline we’ve got a rumor that marvel have chosen Krysten Ritter to play Jessica Jones for the next installment of their Netflix deal. Jessica Jones is a sarcastic, potty-mouthed, rough-around-the-edges and overall depressed person — there’s a definite darkness to her. Here’s what Deadline had to say: Jessica Jones is a “superhero suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder, which leads to her hanging up her costume and opening her own detective agency, where she ends up helping people and assisting other superheroes.” It sounds like they will be...

Working Class Dweeb’s Wishes and Dreams

~Brenda Shea Holla Dweebs! What’s good? So here’s the thing, my blog, my two month old blog, has a MANDATE. 1. Socially interactive 2. Cheap 3. I go to the place and see the people (and take pics) Yup. That’s it. Sometimes though stuff hits my radar. It’s cool. But it’s not cheap. Or I can’t go to there. Or it’s closed when I’m off. Or it’s web dedicated. Still, I think it deserves a wider audience. So here’s my sub-blog. Working Class Dweeb — Wishes and Dreams. Which will include pics I randomly stole from the interwebs rather...

House of Cards Wants You to Know It’s Coming Back – Presidential Style

Netflix announced the premiere date for House of Cards season 3 through a pretty cool and somewhat eerie tweet. Especially eerie if you are up to date with season one and two and the dastardly string-pulling done by Frank and Claire Underwood (Kevin Spacey, Robin Wright). Check out the stare that Frank gives you at the end of the teaser. That bastard! The video itself is like a moving poster. It’s also from a “behind the scenes” perspective which is a very fun nod to the premise of the show which is all the back door negotiations and machinations...

Hey. Do you like Comics? Do you like Marvel? Are you a fan of Daredevil who just cannot wait for the Netflix series to come out? ~Matt Key Then you should watch this Youtube video where Marvel released their entire Daredevil panel online for you to watch. You get to see Matt Murdoch, Foggy Nelson, Karen Page, The Owl and The Kingpin all in one place for the first time (albeit on stage, sitting in chairs and out of costume). Personally, I’m strangely excited to see how they handle The Owl and to see Ben Urich in action. Also, not in attendance is Rosario Dawson who plays The Night Nurse. Just knowing they have ALL of these characters involved is exciting. FOLLOW MATT KEY ON TWITTER,...

MANHATTAN GETS PICKED UP FOR SECOND SEASON

~Audrey Kearns Manhattan? What’s that? It’s a show? YES! WATCH IT. NOW! Manhattan is the best show on television that people aren’t watching. I absolutely love this period drama but I never hear anyone talking about it. When I bring Manhattan up in conversation, I usually get, “Never heard of it.” Well, according to TMZ, I am slightly wrong in that respect. Yay, I was wrong! (You’ll never hear those words again!) Manhattan is getting a second season. …the Manhattan Project drama received strong reviews and averaged a solid 1.223 million total viewers in Live+7 viewing on Sunday nights....

Then all nerds would rejoice at my feet, I would be omnipotent, the Universe would be mine… Oh, wait, I would be Q. Anyway, the reason I got off on my Q tangent is that there were so many wonderful tidbits of geeky bliss that came out of New York Comic Con this past weekend such as these super cool images from the upcoming 2015 Netflix series Daredevil. 5 REASONS YOU SHOULD BE WATCHING MTV’S TEEN WOLF

~Matt Reed Maybe this should have been titled “Why a 47 year old man loves a supernatural show aimed at teenagers on a channel that considers 25 to be too old.”  But I digress.  TEEN WOLF is now in it’s fourth season having debuted on MTV in 2011.  It’s popular enough that it’s one of the strongest series on the cable channel but I hardly hear a peep about it from my friends.  That may have more to say about my age and the ages of my friends than I care to admit, but trust me when I...
