Agent Carter Won the Dubsmash Wars over Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. and Gave the World Darcing!

The Dubsmash Wars between Agent Carter and Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. are over. We’ve all been enjoying and belly laughing over the creativity of Team Carter and Team Shield for the past couple months and donating our hearts out to the competing charities. Agent Carter ended up reigning supreme in a very close contest with $79K over Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.’S $75K. The real winners though are St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital and Stomp Out Bullying, the two organizations that received the donations. The next winners are us. Why? Because Darcing! What is Darcing? I say (wish) it’s the new craze, the new planking,...

Top 5 Things That Still Drive Me Batty in DESTINY

by Stephanie Cookies It’s been a few weeks since Destiny: The Taken King dropped into our lives. At first, I was skeptical, Destiny had broken my heart before but would it do it again? Now I’m convinced the joke is true: Bungie actually was running a yearlong beta. I’ll admit, I didn’t play Destiny at launch. I was working like a mad monkey at the time and had, well, no time to game at all. My time was all work, sleep, work, sleep, rinse, repeat, you get the idea. Instead, I joined a few months later and rage quit fairly...

RECAP: iZOMBIE Season 2 Premiere – ‘Grumpy Old Liv’

~by Korama Danquah iZombie Season 2 Episode 1 Recap “Grumpy Old Liv” What Happened The return of everyone’s favorite combination of That’s So Raven, The Walking Dead, and Ve-ronica Mars was a bit slow. We ended last season with Liv Moore (Rose McIver), zombie detective, refusing to give her brother, Evan (Nick Purcha) a life-saving blood transfusion because it would have turned him into a zombie. “Grumpy Old Liv” starts three months later. Liv is estranged from her family (her brother is alive, though) and still in the morgue with Ravi (Rahul Kohli). She’s still eating brains, solving crime,...

YOUR MONDAY MATH with Mathematician KP Hart: Chess and Computers

Here’s Mathematician KP Hart’s Math Question and Answer for Monday, October 5th! Can the game of chess be analyzed completely by computers? Still the game of chess has not been `calculated through’ by computers in such a way that the whole game including all possibilities is put in a database so that we can consider the game `solved’. And this while the computing power and storage space of computers is enormous. How is this possible? Will it ever happen? The answer is: it is not very probable. Ernst Zermelo proved, under the assumption that there is a limited number of...

RIP Wes Craven…

Wes Craven, master of horror and the person most responsible for my love of the genre has passed away at the age of 76, from brain cancer. Swamp Thing and A Nightmare On Elm Street are the movies that made me fall in love with horror. Nightmare just scared the bejeezus out of me and rightfully so, but I always had a fondness for Swamp, I think it may have instigated my love for wounded creatures. You’ve probably seen at least one of Wes Craven’s movies in your lifetime. He was responsible for the incredible Scream series, The Last House On The Left, The Hills Have Eyes, The Hills Have Eyes 2, The...

New Picture for X-Men: Apocalypse Shows Angel’s Fighting Cage!

~Matt Key Last week, we saw an Instagram from X-Men: Apocalypse director Bryan Singer showing Storm, a.k.a. Ouroro Munroe, played by the actress Alexandra Shipp, looking over the pyramids of her home country, Egypt. Now, this morning, we get a new picture from Singer that shows a fighting cage in Germany that is reminiscent of some concept art we saw a couple months ago, showing Angel in the cage, fighting. #eastberlin #1982 #fightclub #benhardy #angel #xmen #xmenapocalypse A photo posted by Bryan Singer (@bryanjaysinger) on Aug 10, 2015 at 8:48am PDT Is this a pattern? Is Bryan Singer showing...

The Conan O’Brien Show Furiously Makes Their Way Down To San Diego Comic-Con!

This is the most brilliant opening The Conan O’Brien Show has ever done, and they’ve done some doozy’s. Another favorite of mine being their opening for the Sons Of Anarchy cast in honor of their series finale. Conan O’Brien will be doing their show at San Diego Comic-Con 2015 and as anyone knows, who has ever driven there, the Mad Max: Fury Road joke is on point! Andy Richter is amazing as Immortan Joe and of course, Conan hilariously rocks The  Doof Warrior! WEEKEND BOX OFFICE BREAKDOWN: June 12-14, 2015

WEEKEND BOX OFFICE BREAKDOWN: June 12-14, 2015 ~Matt Reed JURASSIC WORLD continued its dominance at the box office by adding another $102 mil to its domestic coffers. That’s the second best second weekend of all-time, bested only by MARVEL’S THE AVENGERS $103.1 mil. That’s an estimate, so actuals could put it #1 come Tuesday. JW is also erasing other AVENGERS records, most notably the fastest film to reach $400 mil domestic which it will do by tomorrow. Worldwide, the film has grossed $981.3 mil with Japan as the only country where it hasn’t yet opened. It’s a mega blockbuster to be sure. INSIDE OUT didn’t suffer at all from dino-madness as its $91 mil opening is Pixar’s second best behind only TOY STORY 3’s $110.3 mil in 2010. Seems people were just as eager for their particular brand of movie magic after two years away from the theatre because conservative estimates put IO opening between $60-70 mil. With a 98% fresh rating from Rotten Tomatoes and no real competition until MINIONS opens on July 10, INSIDE OUT should fare extremely well over the next three weeks. DOPE, the only other new film in wide release, did OK but not great business. It opened to the tune of $6 mil. Not quite sure what the thinking was behind a summer bow for this film except that its expected audience are...
