Eleven could’ve been X-23! In an interview on Variety, Millie Bobby Brown revealed her best audition. Turns out she felt her best audition was for Logan. In an Actors on Actors interview, she told Evan Rachel Wood about the process.
Brown said that the role really meant a lot to her and prepared for it while she was working on Stranger Things. While there auditioning, it made her feel like she was truly an actress. She recalled also getting to punch Hugh Jackman while director James Mangold looked on. While we all know she didn’t land the part, she’s seen the movie and thought Dafne Keen‘s performance was incredible, so it’s all good!
It’s hard to image the role of Laura/X-23 as anyone else at this point, with Keen being such a force of nature in the film. But this is a “what could have been” moment and the film would’ve been completely different. Brown is not want for roles, however. She’ll be starring in Godzilla: King of the Monsters, set to release in 2019 and we’ll be able to see her sooner in the second season of Stranger Things.
What do you think of the news? Would you have liked to see Brown in the role? Let us know!
