Sky Cinemas (which I think is a UK cable station) is showing the entire seven movie Star Wars Saga. To promote this they managed to create a breathtaking trailer that encompass all seven films.
Cut to iconic Star Wars music (because what else would you use) the trailer relies heavily on edits that merge with the musical and voiceover cues. As most trailers do. It’s those little tricks that get our hearts racing and excitement up. However, this trailer somehow manages to seamlessly edit scenes from all seven movies around the use of lightsabers.
Ok, ok, I know what you’re thinking, there are so many lightsaber scenes, how can that possibly be difficult? I promise you, it takes talent to make it look this effortless. Watch the trailer and if you don’t have goosebumps then I’m done with you. Move along, move along.
My one complaint is when Han says “Dark Side” and “Light Side” the images show Rey and Kylo respectively. In other words, they done mixed it up and it should have been cut the other way. Besides that one complaint it’s gorgeously edited and combines both images, music, and voice overs perfectly. I get goosebumps every single time I watch it.
Sky Cinema did another stirring ad that is simply music and images as the Star Wars logo appears. As with the saga trailer, most everything revolves around the light saber.
