Goodbye Christopher Robin brings us into the world of writer A.A. Milne, a comedic playwright who finds himself struggling with post traumatic stress after fighting in World War 1. He brings his young wife and son to the countryside to get away and to write about more serious things. But, the imagination of his son inspires him to write a book for him and his animal friends which turns into a sensation, heals the hearts of many, and causes a new stress in his own house. It seems to be one part historical drama, one part biography, one part fantasy and one part cautionary tale about the trappings of fame.
Domhnall Gleeson and Margot Robbie star in the film which is slated to open in theaters on October 13, 2017.
