After a year of nail-biting anticipation, The X-Files is getting an 11th season on FOX. Fans rejoice!
It seemed to be touch and go there for awhile. After the very popular 6 episode revival that aired starting in January 2016, hopes were high… then lots of uncertainty. In January of this year, FOX announced that they were going to order the shows next season, but nothing was set in stone. More nails bitten. But, now we have confirmation that a 10-episode season will come to us sometime later this year or early 2018.
Deadline reported a comment made by the president of FOX… “Iconic characters, rich storytelling, bold creators – these are the hallmarks of great TV shows. And they are some of the reasons why The X-Files has had such a profound impact on millions of fans worldwide,” said Fox president David Madden. “Chris’ creativity, along with the brilliant work of David and Gillian, continue to propel this pop culture phenomenon, and we can’t wait to see what fresh mysteries Mulder and Scully uncover in this next chapter of The X-Files.”
FOX also released a new teaser poster. I think if you really focus your eyes, you can see a dolphin in there.
This is so exciting! Mulder and Scully are back. The truth is still out there.
Actor, Improviser, Comic.
I like to like things and talk about them.
I like to pretend.
I like to make things.
I like to write things down.
