The first trailer for John Wick: Chapter 4 is here as we get the first look at just how massive the High Table is. Keanu Reeves returns as Wick, as he takes his fight around the world against a new foe.

The third installment of the John Wick saga ended with Winston (Ian McShane) shooting our hero. John fell off a building and fortunately survived. The Bowery King’s (Laurence Fishburne) people saved John and the two formed an alliance to take on the High Table.

John Wick: Chapter 4 also stars Donnie Yen as Caine. We see John and Caine open up the trailer. It appears that Caine may be able to relate to John’s situation as he holds a locket with a photo of a woman inside. Like most, he tells John that he’s going to die. Maybe … A new day is dawning with new ideas, new wounds and new management. 

Bill Skarsgård plays Marquis, the Head of the High Table. Winston presents John with a new way out. He gives him a coin from Maquis. It’s a challenge to single combat. If John wins, he gets his freedom. There is a line in this trailer that makes it sound like this coin is only for those who sit at the table. And according to Winston, John’s family sits at the table. Hmmm … 

The Bowery King presents John with a new suit and a gun. Marquis meets with John to assure him that the Table will honor its word. Clancy Brown‘s unnamed character presents two guns, the kind you see in a duel. They will face each other under the old laws where only one can survive. And failure to meet at sunrise will result in execution. 

John faces foes from all over. There are car chases, gun shootouts, and even a good old horseback chase with a gun shootout. The Table is definitely trying to stop John from keeping his appointment with Marquis. And all Winston can say to him is, “have fun out there.”

This is where it gets good. The trailer ends with John facing Hiroyuki Sanada’s character, Shimazu. Shimazu tells John to find peace. A good death comes after a good life. But John says they both left a good life behind a long time ago.  The two face off and Shimazu appears to be the better fighter. Until Caine shows up! Just when it looks like John made a friend, the trailer ends with Caine and John facing off in a sword fight! Watch the trailer below.
