Uncovered FFXV

Remember when Square Enix announced a date to announce the release date for Final Fantasy XV?  Well, Friday Square Enix finally announced that date.  The, uh, date to announce the release date not the actual release date.

Did you follow that?

For a good amount of time now we have been teased about a nebulous upcoming event in March, Uncovered: Final Fantasy XV was first announced by Director Hajime Tabata and Global Marketing Director Akio Ofuji during the January Active Time Report.  Friday, February 5th, the information went out via social media and email.

Uncovered FFXV Announcement

March 30th, in Los Angeles at the Shrine Auditorium at 7pm. Tickets to the event are free and are only open to those US Residents 18 years and older.  For more information please check out the official website.  However, if you’re hoping to score some tickets, too late, tickets “sold out” in less than a day.  Since the time is after work, wouldn’t surprise me if most of the tickets went to people in the Los Angeles area.

According to the announcement it promises to offer new information on the game as well as key surprises that speak to the full entertainment experience.  As vague as that information is, according to the Active Times Report (the final 10 minutes or so) it has been promised they will unveil the release date, packaging, and pricing.  In terms of hands on, there will be a playable tech demo, different from Episode Duscae, for those who attend.  Furthermore, they are doing their best to stick to the 2016 release.

Now all there is to do is wait until the end of March, fairly positive very little, if any, new information will come out ahead of the event.  For all of us that missed the window to attend, we can watch Uncovered live on YouTube and Twitch.
