Disney's STAR WARS LAND 14-Acre Expansion Is Largest in Park's History!

Disney has stated their new 14-acre Star Wars themed section is the largest expansion in park history! DisneyParksBlog has shared some insight into the expansion by emphasizing that the park will “take on a whole new dimension after dark” and will “feature surprises around every corner”.

They’ve also shared their concept art to see the minute details. The Millennium Falcon is lit up, a cargo shuttle is lit up, the markets are lit up and there’s even a lightsaber battle happening! The picture also features a black X-Wing on it’s way in with a special orange BB unit tagging along. With all those in the picture, it reveals that the Millennium Falcon will become a signature attraction where you get to take the controls! That’s right, you get to fly (well, pretend to fly) the Millennium Falcon! How cool is that? They also mention that you can see a sneak peak of other things to come. However, I’ve never been to Disney since they added on Star Wars so I am unsure of other expansions. Do you see anything else that they didn’t have? What are you excited to see?

Walt Disney Parks & Resorts chairman Bob Chapek also announced at the D:23 Destination D presentation that they will be expanding on Star Tours – the Adventure Continues with a new mission based on elements from Episode 8! Fangirling in overload! Nothing more about the adventure has been said, only time will reveal those secrets.
