The second season of the Marvel series, Daredevil, lands on Netflix next Friday, starring Charlie Cox in the titular role of Matt Murdock, a.k.a. Daredevil, the blind attorney with super senses who fights crime as a vigilante at night.
As Charlie Cox points out, “they (the Showrunners) flipped on its head the format of last season to this season. Last season, Matt Murdock and Wilson Fisk didn’t even meet until episode nine. This year, Matt and Frank are meeting in the first episode. We hit the ground running and we gather momentum and speed from there and it just becomes more and more chaotic as the season progresses.”
So it sounds like The Punisher is an antagonist initially, but that he then, perhaps, becomes an ally as the season becomes “more an more chaotic…”
Along with this interview, IGN got to use the rooftop scene that we’ve all seen scenes from in the trailers, with Daredevil chained up while The Punisher appears to be setting up to make some shots from the roof.
So, if you want to see a few more seconds of that scene and gain some context for the moral and philosophical argument they are having, then you should definitely watch the interview.
