Justice League has a lot of color! Released on Facebook on Friday, the upcoming superhero team-up received some new character posters. Each one radiated with a character specific color, showing off their facial profiles. They’re sleek, simple and effective in showing off our heroes. It also brings a promise of a lighter tone.

With the release of both Man of Steel and Batman v Superman, the DC universe has been rather dull in terms of color usage. With the notable exception of Superman’s red cape, the films have had a blue-grey filter over them, giving them a darker appearance. This is especially true in the case of Batman v Superman. And with its critical response, the folks over at WB and DC have acknowledged that they need to add more “fun” and brightness to the films. The next film released, Wonder Woman, added more color despite the dreary setting of World War I in the 1800s.

That being said, DC and WB are seemingly trying to push color into the universe whenever they can. These posters are a great example of that. Each character is given a color that represents them – for example The Flash is red, due to his red suit. Though with blue and red taken, which color would Superman be? Tell us your thoughts in the comments below. This simple bit of advertising is making a statement and we’re a-okay with more color in the DC universe.
