Even robots love the Holidays…….and get lonely……

*********************************

With the year coming to a close and I found myself going over the highs and lows of 2014. Geek Girl Authority wins for being the BEST high. It has come such a long way since our launch on May 4 and we couldn’t be happier.

There was a lot of pre-work before the launch and one of the first things that I and my co-founders (Claudia Dolph and Jenny Flack) did was a series called Better With Robots. It’s so very silly. The premise is that robots are just like us. They read the paper, go for walks, exercise, pump their own gas, get lonely during the Holidays…..

When you watch these, I guarantee we are laughing behind our robot masks. We had no budget. We threw together costumes from pieces of fabric, tin foil and some purchased parts. Then we took Jenny’s iPad and filmed 10 second spots. Not bad for three ladies who know, or should I say knew nothing about how to use iMovie, YouTube or build a website.

I hope you have fun with these. We had an absolute blast making them for you. We’ve come a long way, baby!
