Chris Pine is on a heck of a hot streak. In 2017 the actor partnered with actress Gal Gadot and director Patty Jenkins to bring DC’s Wonder Woman to an unprecedented level of success. Meanwhile, audiences wait excitedly for his next film role in Ava DuVernay’s A Wrinkle in Time. The highly anticipated fantasy hits theaters in 2018. Variety reported this week that Pine is set star as former Attorney General and Presidential candidate Bobby Kennedy in an upcoming Hulu limited series.
The show comes from the 2016 book Bobby Kennedy: The Making of a Liberal Icon, written by Larry Tye. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the series comes from writer Todd Kessler, and traces Kennedy’s rise from political aide to his assassination in 1968.
Pine is currently filming Outlaw King with Hell or High Water director David Mackenzie. The actor then moves to the TNT limited series, One Day She’ll Darken.
