Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge is getting closer and closer to debut. The theme park based on the Star Wars universe is getting hyped up to be a one-of-a-kind immersive experience for fans of the galaxy. Set in the Outer Rim, fans will explore the marketplace of the planet Batuu and all it has to offer. And the prove the park is serious about this being a canon Star Wars planet/experience, they’ve released a theme song for the park from the maestro of the galaxy himself – John Williams

A mere few days after Williams premiered a new arrangement for one of his theme’s, he debuted this new epic. In the teaser video to accompany the music, fans see sweeping shots of the park set to debut next year in both Anaheim and Orlando. We get to see behind the scenes footage of them building AT-AT Walkers and transport shuttles. They also highlight the main attractions of the park. A mission on the Millennium Falcon in a replicated ship (yes please!) called Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run. The other is a space battle as you fight off the First Order in Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance

As for the theme itself – it’s fantastic. It invokes the feeling of Star Wars without using any of the themes. Within less than 2 minutes, Williams gives us a feeling of adventure, fun, and wonder as we’re sure to experience when walking the marketplace streets of Batuu. It’s truly incredible just how much emotion he’s able to get through in that short time. It’s nothing short of epic, and I don’t think we’d have the theme any other way. If John Williams decides to continue releasing themes like this after his retirement from the franchise, I’ll be a happy camper.

Check out the teaser below and let us know what you think of the theme! What are you most excited for in the park? Be sure to come back to Geek Girl Authority for more Star Wars news. Fans can walk the streets of Batuu in 2019.
