Variety is reporting that Disney and Lucasfilm have already started the process of casting Star Wars: Episode VIII and are in talks with Benicio Del Toro to perhaps star as the films villain.

He was most recently seen in Guardians Of The Galaxy as The Collector and is starring in Lionsgate’s upcoming, Sicario.

Nothing is set in stone and, in fact, it seems that Joaquin Phoenix may be in the running as well.

I actually like the idea of either of those guys as a villain, but I would really like to see more Benicio!

Daisy Ridley, John Boyegaand Oscar Isaac are expected to return with Rian Johnson directing and Kathleen Kennedy and Ram Bergman producing.

Star Wars Episode VIII will premiere May 26th, 2017.
