The Tale as Old as Time will be getting its first live action adaption and its trailer is here! Beauty and the Beast is set for a March release and today we got our first trailer. Grandiose is the best word to describe this trailer as Disney appears to have given so much faith in this film.
The adaption stars Emma Watson as the titular Beauty, Belle. She is joined by Dan Stevens of Downton Abbey fame playing a very CGI’d Beast. The other cast includes Kevin Kline as Belle’s father Maurice, Luke Evans as Gaston and Josh Gad as LeFou. Vocal talents include Ewan McGregor as Lumiere, Ian McKellen as Cogsworth, Emma Thompson as Mrs. Potts and many more talents.
I was, personally, highly worried about the CGI characters. However, Beast, for the most part, looks good. There were a few promotional shots that didn’t seem to really fit. I will be giving this film the benefit of the doubt, of course. My excitement for this trailer is brimming!
