Apparently BD Wong has a type — seemingly nice scientist who is actually mad with power.

Comicbook.com has learned that the actor, best known for his roles in Jurassic Park, Oz and Law and Order: SVU, as well as this summer’s massive blockbuster, Jurassic World, will take up the mantle of one of Batman’s first villains, Dr. Hugo Strange, for Fox’s hit series, Gotham.

According to the site, “Hugo Strange will be hired to run Gotham’s Arkham Asylum” and that, initially, he’ll appear altruistic, but that he “harbors a dark secret’ that eventually makes him ‘Gotham’s greatest threat.’” Though he starts off seemingly innocent and kind, he’ll finally be “revealed as the man behind Indian Hill.”

Dr. Hugo Strange, in the comics, first appeared in Detective Comics #36 in 1940, officially making him one of Batman’s oldest and longest-lasting rogues. He has a genius level intellect and, much like Batman, is in peak physical condition. He’s famously known for his abhorrent genetic experimentation and having figured out Batman’s real identity as Bruce Wayne using pure deduction.

In other words, he’s a really, REALLY bad guy.

We also got a bit more information on Indian Hill itself with Fox saying it’s run by Wayne Enterprises and is “dedicated to creating the ultimate super human… or super villain.”
