Hannah John-Kamen Joins Cast of ANT-MAN AND THE WASP, But Who Will She Be?

Ant-Man and the Wasp starts shooting shortly. The film will see the return of Paul Rudd as Scott Lang, the Ant-Man, as well as Evangeline Lilly as Hope Van Dyne, who will finally take on the mantle of The Wasp. This, coincidentally, will be the first time a Marvel film has prominently featured a female character in the title, though Captain Marvel, a year later, will be the first solo lead for a female in a Marvel movie. New Details on Shuri in BLACK PANTHER Point to a Larger Importance

So here’s the line-up of upcoming Marvel films: Spider-Man: Homecoming, Thor: Ragnarok, Black Panther. Now, we’re all excited for Homecoming, but we’ve all seen Spider-Man do his thing before. Sure they’re changing things up, having him as a sophomore in High School and giving us a new actor to portray the web-slinging hero, but the film is still more or less something we’ve seen before. Thor: Ragnarok, alternatively, is a character we’re more than familiar with, having now seen Chris Hemsworth play him four times previously, but he’s in a completely new circumstance on the cosmic side of things,...

We Know the Where for WONDER WOMAN 2, But Do We Know the When?

There is no denying the palpable power of Wonder Woman. DC’s first super massive gigantic blockbuster film with a female lead from a female director is breaking every record ever and audiences cannot get enough of Princess Diana of Themyscira. As such, like any good studio and filmmaker, the buzz for a sequel is already out there. We learned last week that both Gal Gadot and Patty Jenkins are under contract for a Wonder Woman sequel — though that doesn’t mean the studio has to greenlight it. However, if we know Warner Bros., they will absolutely find a place...

Netflix To Release Three Marvel Series Next Year

The release schedule for Netflix’s Marvel series, thus far, has been two a year. Starting in 2015 with Daredevil and Jessica Jones, we’ve seen two series released a year, bring both Luke Cage and Iron Fist into the hero mix as well. However, though we’ve heard before that Netflix was considering moving to three Marvel series releases a year, it now appears next year, 2018, is definitely the year that this little miracle happens. In fact, it’s been all but confirmed that we could get three series this year, with The Punisher possibly being released in November. As we said,...

Trailer for Season Two of PREACHER Hints at the Series We’ve Been Waiting for

Remember last year when the first season of Preacher premiered on AMC, starring Dominic Cooper as Jesse Custer, Ruth Negga as Tulip and Joseph Gilgun as Cassidy the Irish Vampire? If you read The Preacher comics, then you most likely remember thinking that this series has no connection to the Garth Ennis comics, at all. They never left Annville, created a bunch of new characters and didn’t hit any of the road trip elements or truly supernatural elements that made the comic book what it was. But then, today, AMC released this full trailer for the upcoming season two...

More recently, they showed the close up of what looked like an explosion when they started shooting for Avengers: Infinity War. However, today they’ve actually given us something we can tease out and play with. NEW MUTANTS to Be a Horror Film

The next big X-Men film from Fox Studios, The New Mutants, comes out next April. The story from the comics follows a team of teenagers learning what their powers are, learning how to use them in safe, constructive ways and learning how to fight as a team. Much like the X-Men, they all fought their fair share of villains, some weird, some tricky, some metaphysical, and some scary. It’s that last point that we’re focusing on for this article because according to director Josh Boone, the film will be a straight up horror flick. As he told Entertainment Weekly,...

NEW MUTANTS Casts Two New Characters in Sunspot and Dr. Cecilia Reyes!

There’s a franchise at Fox Studios called The X-Men. It’s been around since 2001 when we saw our first band of merry mutants, starring Patrick Stewart as Professor X, Hugh Jackman as Wolverine, and Ian McKellen as Magneto. From there, that universe has grown to include ten films and next year, we’ll be adding a few more. One of those new films will be called New Mutants and will be based on the title started in the 1980’s by Chris Claremont and Bob McLeod revolving around a new team of teenagers who have recently discovered their mutant powers and are...

Why the Newest SPIDER-MAN: HOMECOMING Trailer Might Be the Best Yet

This morning, Sony released a new trailer for their upcoming Marvel Studios collaboration, Spider-Man: Homecoming, which will see Tom Holland in his first feature film since his brief appearance in Captain America: Civil War. We’ve seen two trailers for the film previously. The second trailer, in our humble opinion, gave us a bit more narrative than we’d hoped for, showing us that the super cool Spidey suit that Tony Stark (Robert Downey, Jr.) bestows onto Peter Parker is eventually taken away by the billionaire/playboy/philanthropist when the webhead proves he’s depending too much on the suit and not himself. Knowing this...
