Defying all odds, Frank Dukes is appearing in a second X-Men film.

That’s right. The Blob will be seen once more in Fox Studio’s soon-to-be-released film, X-Men:Apocalypse.

We first saw The Blob in 2009’s X-Men Origins: Wolverine. He was played by Kevin Durand of Vikings fame. We’re not sure who’s playing the character here.

We first heard about the possibility late last year when a fan got to visit set and then tweeted about his time.

Now, we have total confirmation of it from the film’s director, Bryan Singer, who put this pic up on Instagram with the caption: “Mutant Martial Arts, light as a feather.”

Apparently, the Blob, a mutant with the powers of super strength and immovability, is Angel’s (Ben Hardy) first cage match opponent before facing Nightcrawler (Kodi Smit-McPhee).

Why are Angel and Nightcrawler fighting in cage matches? Who wins the fight?

Both are excellent questions that will be answered on May 27th when the film hits theatres.
