X-Men: Apocalypse Deleted Scene Gives Us Everything We Hoped to See in the Film

~Matt Key See. This here is what we all want to see in an X-Men movie. Team building. Friendship. Camaraderie. That’s not to say we don’t love seeing Cyclops tear things up with his optic beams or Nightcrawler bamfing all over the place or Storm shooting lightning from the skies. Of course we love that stuff. The problem is that we want to see all of that stuff in the context of a team that, though they may have their interpersonal conflicts here and there, they love each other and work together as a team. That is, we want...

Movie Review: X-Men: Apocalypse

EVERYTHING THEY BUILT WILL FALL…BUT NOT YET X-Men: Apocalypse Review by Paul Preston The Movie Guys Ah, screw it. I enjoyed this movie. Going into X-Men: Apocalypse, I couldn’t help but have the nagging negativity of the critical base floating around somewhere in my subconscious, to where I was waiting and waiting for this movie to totally fly off the rails. It got BIG, perhaps too big, but it never got out of director Bryan Singer’s control, and if you’re like me and haven’t missed one of these movies, you’ll find a visit to the mutant world of The...

Poor Scott, already a troubled student, already a problem to his teachers, already a bit of a hot head pushing buttons, starts to develop his explosive mutant power at school one day. His eyes start to really bother him, and he starts blinking a lot, which an asshole jock takes as Summers making eyes at his girl. Doing his best to keep himself...

X-MEN: APOCALYPSE GIVES A SNEAK PEEK AT ANGEL AND PSYLOCKE!

~Matt Key Fox has released two little sneak peek videos at two of their Four Horsemen — Psylocke and Angel, for their upcoming film, X-Men: Apocalypse. Let’s start with Angel, played by actor Ben Hardy. His mini-trailer doesn’t really reveal too much new footage of him. We see that shot of him unleashing some feathered knives at Jean Grey (Sophie Turner) and a shot of him in the fighting ting. But, we also get a great shot of him flying across the city, “casting his shadow of death” below, as Hardy says in the spot. Then there’s Psylocke, played by...

X-Men: Apocalypse Gives us our First Clip of the Film!

~Matt Key Fox Studios has really owned the week in terms of news this week, really coming out swinging to plant their own Marvel flag into the ground against the unwavering onslaught of favorable reviews and audience excitement for Marvel Studio’s Captain America: Civil War. That film kicks off May and Fox’s film, X-Men: Apocalypse, closes out the month. So they are doing their best to keep their name relevant in the media ramp up to Civil War, and they’re doing a solid job of it. There have been multiple casting announcements this week about Hugh Jackman’s last turn...

~Matt Key Defying all odds, Frank Dukes is appearing in a second X-Men film. That’s right. The Blob will be seen once more in Fox Studio’s soon-to-be-released film, X-Men:Apocalypse. We first saw The Blob in 2009’s X-Men Origins: Wolverine. He was played by Kevin Durand of Vikings fame. We’re not sure who’s playing the character here. We first heard about the possibility late last year when a fan got to visit set and then tweeted about his time. Now, we have total confirmation of it from the film’s director, Bryan Singer, who put this pic up on Instagram with...

Those Horsemen, for those not keeping track are — Psylocke (Olivia Munn), Storm (Alexandra Shipp), Angel (Ben Hardy) and Magneto (Michael Fassbender).
