CBS Orders MISSION CONTROL Pilot from Author Andy Weir

Embed from Getty Images I always have a hankering for a space adventure.  So, I was pretty excited to hear that, not only is Andy Weir writing a drama centered at NASA, but CBS ordered the pilot!  According to collectSPACE.com, CBS made the order for Mission Control on Tuesday. Weir is the author of the popular novel The Martian.  That book’s film adaptation, starring Matt Damon won a bunch of awards last year, and was one of my personal favorite movies of the year. CBS REVEALS NEW STAR TREK SERIES’ FIRST LOOK TEASER AND LOGO!!!

At CBS  upfronts today, Les Moonves debuted a new first look teaser for the upcoming CBS All Access Star Trek series at Carnegie Hall in New York City. He also revealed the new logo for the highly anticipated show! The teaser opened with “CBS presents a new adventure…” We see footage of glorious space. We see no new cast or new vessels, of course, but the footage is a wonderful throw back to the many franchise intros of old.
